This time of year is often spent reflecting on the good in our lives, family, and what we are thankful for!  This year we feel so blessed. We have had a wonderful year getting to capture weddings, events, and other important lifestyle memories of our extended BG Family! As wedding season winds down (our last one of 2013 is this coming Saturday). We cant believe how many awesome folks we have gotten to know and what fun we have had. We did 40 weddings, countless sessions, 3 styled shoots, and a Ton of corporate work. Whew- no wonder we are tired!!! LOL for 2014 we are looking to do about 10 or so less weddings- though I always have a hard time turning folks down when we aren’t actually booked already.

This year saw an increase in our corporate side and we are so Thankful for the great connections we have made. Al has done some awesome projects with Penn Medicine, Einstein, Magee and Moss Rehabilitations as well as volunteered our his services for a big PAWS fundraiser, and other corporate work too many for me to keep track of. All of the video work would never be possible without out AMAZING video associate and friend Brian! He is ALWAYS there for us wether it is for shooting, first cut editing, house and cat sitting while we are away, or rushing over to see why our alarm went off! We are so Thankful to have him and honestly don’t know what we would do without him. We are looking at adding to our corporate side and I KNOW he will be instrumental in making that a success!

We also couldn’t have provided our BG Family with some Amazing photos if not for our variety of 2nd shooters. Colleen, Jen, Laura, and Daniel have been wonderful to work with and have allowed me the opportunity to concentrate on getting the “must-have” shots while allowing time and different viewpoints to get the more artistic and fun shots that we are known for capturing! Their dedication to quality and professionalism have helped us grow and we are thankful that they chose to shoot with us and most are continuing to do so into 2014.

I personally have felt very blessed to have so much of our work published in various blogs and publications. The biggest highlight was seeing my first submission to The Knot Magazine published with the Awesome Opossum Daniel and Sauce’s wedding. That was such a fabulous wedding and we are so  thankful to Christina of CHill Weddings for sending them our way.  We always appreciate when we get referrals from others in the wedding industry and hope to continue growing those relationships in 2014.

On a personal note Al and I have had a FANTASTIC year of travel. And we are so Thankful for that!! We got to go toAtlanta for the annual Professional Photographers of America Conference (PPA) and continue our lifelong learning of our trade, and take two Amazing trips with our family. The first was with my dad, his wife, and brother to Ireland and then Al and I went on to London and Brugge in April. In August we were able to do a trip of a lifetime with my mom, aunt, cousin and second cousin to Cape Town and to Namibia for a safari. I will never forget the incredible people, places, and animals that we saw. You can see images and video by looking at the blog posts (go to categories and look under BG News and look for the titles- well worth taking a look).

We want to thank our family, friends, clients, and other industry folks for all the AMAZING love and support! We hope everyone have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.
