As part of our ongoing personal work BG Bully Family Project we will be posting a selection of photos from each session.
We will also be donating 50% of Any sales that results from prints, wall art, or usb’s of full session to Pinups for Pitbulls to aid in the education of how Awesome these dogs are!! About the project….
We have a passion for rescue work and a passion for photographing people, places, and things and telling their story! So we are embarking on a personal project to help end the negative stereotypes of Bully Breed dogs!! We thought what better way then to show these beautiful dogs being loved on and loving the humans that saved them- especially those with children!! With the negative stereotypes people think these dogs aren’t good for homes with small kids! Well these families would disagree! We also wanted to showcase families that are also discriminated against and face stereotypes- people with tattoos! I LOVE photographing beautiful INK!!! and i LOVE LOVE dogs!! so follow along on our journey as we try to dispel a lot of myths!! As a Philadelphia pet photographer I wanted to capture some of the Bully Love that is all around!

It was such a pleasure meeting the Hlushak family. The whole family is super sweet! Meg has the greatest tattoos. I love Alice in Wonderland and she had an AWESOME tat!! We first met up with Meg and Cahlia , and Hula, in the clubhouse to the community they live in. Since it is empty they thought that would be easier. Cahlia is super cute and just LOVE her baby Doc Martens!!! Then Matt and Harrison came because Harrison had camp. Harrison had this really cool Thomas the Train tunnel and the greatest smiles while he was playing in it! After taking a few family pics, Hula has a LOT of energy! LOL! But she is so sweet and was so good with both the kids. She is a little love muffin.
Once we were outside everyone had more room to roam! We just had them do their own thing and captured some candid moments. It was so much fun watching Matt and Harrison in the creek. Harrison loved it! and Cahlia made me think of Little Red Riding Hood out in the woods!!
We are so thankful for this project because we get to meet such Amazing Families. The best moment of the day though was when Harrison gave me a little High-Five and Shook Al’s hand! Priceless!
Here is what Meg wrote me to be a part of the project
Hula was our first baby. I got her for my husband our first Christmas together, adopted from the ARL in Pittsburgh while he was at work. She waited on the couch for him, as if she knew he was coming to meet her. He cried when he saw her, it was love at first sight!
Harrison was our first actual child. Hula loved him even while he was in my belly, and once he was born, we couldn’t keep her away from him. She would crawl under his crib, hover over the bassinet, or lay by him on the couch. He is now 4.5, and has autism. She takes so much abuse from him, and still adores him. She will cry when he leaves for school, wait on the porch for him to get home, and sneak him kisses when she knows he’s not paying enough attention to stop him. He loves her, too, just in his own way.
Cahlia is our daughter, she is one, and adores her puppy. Hula was her first word! She loves to get kisses and play with her, and unlike her brother, is never mean to the dogs.
Why do you want to be a part of this project?
We want to help spread the word about how amazing pits and pitbull type dogs are!!
