Kelly + Michelle || Wish Upon A Wedding on Moshulu ||BG Productions Photography and Videography Wish Granters

There are certain weddings that we shoot that I know will always be in our hearts. Kelly and Michelle’s wedding on board Moshulu with their reception following at the Hyatt, was such a magical day. You may remember me telling you about them when we shot their engagement session a couple weeks back.  Wish Upon a Wedding is a non profit organization that grants weddings and vow renewals to couples facing terminal illness and serious life altering circumstances, regardless of sexual orientation.  We have been a part of this organization since a chapter opened in Philadelphia and we are proud supporters. this was the first time we were able to be a wish granter however (they rotate through vendors which gives everyone who wants a chance to be a wish granter). It is so important to us at BG Productions to give back to the community. It is also important to be a part of an organization that believes in Marriage Equality! BG Productions is proud that we have always supported Same Sex Weddings in Philadelphia and have been photographing them for years!

We couldn’t have gotten to work with a more spectacular couple and crew of vendors, Everything Angela Maliki Events put together for the couple was Spectacular. She would simply ask them some ideas they had like “do you want a band or DJ?” and then she would put their desire into motion. they chose a band! and BVT Live did an amazing job- they were so fun to work with. And everything looked so pretty thanks to Leigh florist. A full list of vendors can be found HERE. The day was filled with a lot of emotion. there was laughing and crying, and LOTS of hugging- with us included!! They were surrounded by 50 friends and families as they said their NOW LEGAL VOWS to each other on board the Moshulu. While it rained early on preventing us from getting too many outside photos, we were able to grab a few right before the ceremony and right after. And those few are all we needed to capture their love for each other. You can see how they are a support system for each other and how caring they are.

We feel so honored to have been a part of it all. One of our 2015 brides works for the Philadelphia Gay News (The PGN) and asked if she could interview the couple. Please click on this ARTICLE to see all she wrote and to learn all the back ground of Kelly’s illness.

Check out their beautiful wedding teaser. It really is a MUST see! Enjoy some of our favorite images of the day.

We would LOVE you to leave a comment showing this Awesome couple some love! Tell us your favorite photos and why and the most popular one will be given to them as a FREE 8×10!
