Barley Sheaf Farm Photos || A Beautiful Night Off! || BG Productions Photography and Videography
So my birthday fell on a Saturday this year. And as with most Saturdays at this time of year, we shot a wedding! No- really I didn’t mind. I have never minded working on my birthday. Heck- im happy to celebrate it any day around the actual day! As long as I get a special day! lol!
Al on the other hand felt bad it was my birthday and wanted to do something extra special. Even though we went to Six Flags the day after- he made arrangements for us to have a special night off. I didn’t know where we were going or what to really pack! so I brought a variety of items. It wasn’t until we pulled up about an hour later to the Inn at Barley Sheaf Farm that I found out our final destination. I have known of this Amazing venue because I have seen weddings posted from their. Oddly enough we have never been contacted for a wedding there-Even though it is Totally our style!
So Al felt we should check it out ourselves and booked us the best suite- also the bridal suite- lol!! The room is named “The Man Who Came to Dinner!” LOVE it!!! It was pouring most of the time we were there, but we didnt care. There were some less rainy moments through out the whole day and night. So once we checked in we checked out our Awesome room- where Al had arranged Choc. Strawberries! I know! so sweet!! The staff there were all so nice and helpful and Jolene- their event manager is a Doctor Who fan too!!!
If you haven’t been to this beautiful Inn- you should really check it out. The grounds are really nice and they even have small horses and a goat! They also have a great spring fed pool though we didnt go in until today since it was raining. They let us hang out a bit after we had breakfast and checked out! Speaking of Food. Did you know you can just go their for dinner and brunch! It would we totally worth it! the food was Fantastic. they easily accommodated me and made my two dishes sans bacon. I had strawberry gazpacho and scallops and Al had sunflower risotto and octopus! and then homade desserts and they even give you 4 little sweets as a special treat!! I bet their wedding food is as good as their restaurant food!
Little did I know there was a whole other surprise! A couples massage with lavender scrub as well as a steaming shower and jacuzzi tub and lunch in our bath robes!! I felt so relaxed and spoiled. What a great hubby I have! After lunch we walked around the grounds and took a few pics! Cant wait to shoot a wedding here soon! There are soooo many awesome possum spots!
We ended our night sitting in the dark swinging on the swing in front of the lake watching flyer flies!
In honor of our Awesome time- any 2016 wedding booked here will get a $500 DISCOUNT! Just make sure to mention Barley Sheaf in your wedding inquiry!!! Meanwhile- enjoy these Barley Sheaf Inn Photos
On the way home we did a side trip to finally actually stop and check out the trains!
