Grooms – What to Wear on Your Wedding Day || Indochino Custom Suits || BG Productions Wedding Tips
As wedding planning season gears into full swing many of you grooms may be wondering what to wear on your wedding day. The groom’s attire can sometimes be overlooked until the last planning moments. But guess what guys, it’s every bit as important as your bride’s dress (believe it or not!) Or maybe you are a same-sex couple so there are two groom’s suits or tuxes to worry about. Well worry no longer because we have some wedding tips for you on how to look your very best on your wedding day. Our recommendation: Indochino custom suits!
We have had a ton of our Philadelphia-area grooms go with Inochino custom suits for their wedding day attire. And it’s actually what Al wore for our 10 year anniversary party. We wouldn’t recommend something if we didn’t know it was AWESOME. And we have personal experience in this department. We absolutely LOVE seeing our grooms in a custom made suit. It’s going to fit you like a glove, you’re going to look amazing and feel amazing too, and it’s an opportunity to have the date sewn into the suit jacket. You will be fashionable so of course you can wear the suit for other occasions. But you can have that warm fuzzy feeling of your wedding date literally against your heart every time you wear it.
Our Groom’s Love it
Hopefully you saw our recent blog post about Jay and Carliss’s beautiful Pomme wedding from a couple weeks ago. Did you think Jay looked dapper and confident and like a million bucks too? Well most of that is because he’s quite good looking! And part of it is he took pride in what he wore on his wedding day and he ordered an Indochino custom suit. And so did all of his groomsmen. Here’s what Jay had to say…
“My biggest recommendation for any groom – go custom! Every man should own a custom suit. My only fear with deciding to go with a custom suit was that my groomsmen would hate me for asking them to spend the money for a something custom. Crazy enough, they all loved the idea and in the end, there wasn’t a difference between Indochino’s prices and a few rentals we all priced out. 3 of the 5 groomsmen have been in multiple weddings and secretly wished other grooms had requested they to go this route too.
For me personally, I love my suit. There’s a sense of freshness and confidence that comes along with a well-made custom suit. Putting on a suit that my wife and I designed together is an indescribable experience. And to have all the groomsmen suit-up with me on my wedding day made for an awesome morning before the ceremony too! I couldn’t imagine going with any other option.”

I have never seen a man in an Indochino suit not look amazing. Because they probably wouldn’t let you walk out looking anything less then stellar!
Some Things to Keep in Mind
- Custom takes extra time. Don’t save it for last minute. When your bride is going dress shopping, start thinking about making your appointment at Indochino.
- Get measured! This is a given with a custom suit, they’re going to measure you. But even if you decide on a different route, make sure to get measured. Chances are you’re not exactly where you think you are.
- Design your suit together – as Jay mentioned above, that was a huge part of the experience. They created the perfect suit together and he will always remember that
- Think about customization – You have the option to have custom lettering stitched right into the jacket. Think about what you want and make it count. Because this suit will last pretty much forever if you take care of it.
