Philadelphia Engagement Sessions
We at BG Productions LOVE to get to know our couples before their wedding day! and whats better than a Philadelphia Engagement Session!! It’s a great chance for us to see what you like and for you to see how fun we are to work with. Planning a wedding can be stressful enough, don’t let the location of your engagement session worry you at all. Here are some great ideas for us to get started on your photos together.
Where did you and your partner meet? Or where was your first date?
Did you go for a hike on your first date? Did you meet in the halls rushing to class on your first day of school at Temple University? Maybe you met at a cute cafe, book store, museum, a local dog park, the zoo, a carnival, an ice cream parlor. We are telling YOUR story, let’s start from the very beginning!
At your home
Your home is an intimate space, chances are it’s the space you and your partner share. Let’s show the real you and photograph you at home at your most comfortable. This might not be your first thought for a photo session but why not?
- Love to cook? Get those pot and pans out and cook a meal together.
- Are you movie buffs? Get comfy on the couch together and pop a movie in.
- Live in an old home with character? That doorway might need boring to you, but in the right light it’s beautiful!
- What’s in your backyard or neighborhood? You might look at these spots everyday, but we are trained to find beauty in a place you might think is ordinary. Or take your dog for a walk around the neighborhood.
- Love Park is probably the first thought of *note: Love Park is closed for renovations until spring 2017
- FDR Park
- Franklin Square
- Morris Arboritum
- Bartram’s Garden
- Fairmount Park
- Washington Square Park
- Wissahickon Valley Park
This list could go on and on and on… there are so many more. Those were just a few good ones.
Can you say B-E-A-unitful! No matter what time of year, Longwood Gardens in guaranteed to be a beautiful spot for an engagement session! Explore their 1,077 acres, indoors and out. From formal gardens to children’s gardens, from towering fountains to our expansive Meadow. Through five seasons of splendor, there’s something for everyone at Longwood Gardens.
In Philadelphia, every wall is a potential blank canvas, and stunning murals adorn building exteriors all over the city. If you’re looking for colorful and fun photos, checking out some of the area murals might be the best idea for you!
Make your way past the Port Richmond Village Shopping Center, weave underneath I-95, dodge the cars drag-racing down Beach Street, and you’ll reach a locked gate.
Hop over, slip around, or duck under it and you’re on the well-worn path to what’s known as Graffiti Pier – a postindustrial ruin, open-air art gallery, and informal park that has, in recent years, become perhaps Philadelphia’s worst-kept secret. But Shhh, you didn’t hear it from us.
And there you have it! This list should get you started on your wedding planning path of one of your first decisions, where do do your engagement shoot! As always, if you are in doubt or are still questioning where to do your session, contact us at BG Productions and we will be happy to get you started on the booking process! Happy Engagement!
