Our clients are either asking us for new wedding ideas, or showing us their cool new ideas! We truly have some of the most imaginative and creative clients and LOVE capturing all of the details. So naturally when we see new ideas, we want to share them! Here are some cool new ideas we have found that we are dying to see used:
2016 promises to be a stunning year for weddings. Designers have taken wedding gowns to a whole new level, creating fashion that is soft and feminine, yet still utterly sophisticated. These gowns are a blend if feminine touches with sophisticated cuts, and seem to have everything to please both the mother and the bride! They are trending towards less beading detail but more lace in-lays and curvy cuts to accentuate any figure.
A Domestic Destination Wedding takes place in the U.S., just not in the same town that the couple lives in. They select a city they have always wanted to see, has great wedding venues, great food or great history. Let us just say that we love this new trend, and believe Philly is one of the best places to have a Domestic Destination Wedding, because we fulfill all those things! Need proof? Read on.
So this is the second half of the blog posts that are focusing on how traditions have changed and morphed into a more modern practice. We loved hearing your thoughts from the last blog, and would love to hear what you think about these changes!
On to a topic that is still a duty of the bridesmaids, but is sometimes a bit more looked forward to...the BACHELORETTE PARTY! This is the time to let your hair down (no worries about keeping a dress wrinkle free or make-up in check) and enjoy, celebrating the soon to be wed and the friendship you share. Like many things, we have seen this tradition take several turns, and while a night out on the town drinking still is the celebration of choice for some, others are looking for something else to do.
We have written posts about how the bride and groom can enjoy the process more, but now we want to focus on the bridal party. Yes, you have a big job and yes, you may find yourself with tasks that you may find mundane, BUT, you also have the chance to show your friend/sister/brother/cousin how much you love them and are happy for their happiness. Today's blog focuses on how to throw a non-typical (aka, not boring) bridal shower that will be remembered by the soon to be wed and all the guests a like.
Memorial Day has become one of the biggest wedding weekends of the year, and for good reason. Choosing Memorial Day weekend means giving your guests extra celebration and travel time, but this is not the only reason this date has become so popular. Many couples today have a military tie or history, and they would like to show tribute and respect to their family members and friends who have served. Such a wonderful idea...but many couples get stuck when trying to think of ways to incoporate the Memorial Day feel.
May is finally here, and I think all of us are looking forward to the May flowers that the April showers we have weathered are promised to bring. This April was like no other we at BG Productions have experienced before. The weather was all over the map, and it gave us a fair share of readjusting plans and reworking timelines to make sure our couples got everything they wanted. Despite the challenges, our April weddings were nothing less than spectacular! Take a look as we scan back through our April weddings (and be sure to scroll through and read their stories! We have been looking forward to these weddings and love that we have gotten to know so many of our couples so well):
